WIZARD TIPS number 2:
Authenticity is now vital.
If you have an event or a new product, or you’re trying to establish spontaneous awareness of a product or service, try a street interview sequence.
We can provide an interviewer and we’ll ask passers-by in the target age and gender range for their views. Most people love being stopped and
asked for spontaneous advice or their opinion- providing there’s a camera.
(Blame Strictly, X Factor etc for this craving for people to have a brief moment of fame!)
‘Did you know that the within the nave of Guildford Cathedral they can host dinners with a late license for 500 people?’ (powerful stuff, if prompted).
Or unprompted... ‘Do you know what goes on in Guildford Cathedral these days?
Then... ‘If I told you that they can host dinners in the nave, with a late license for 500 people, what would you say?’
(bear in mind, there will be some unusable comment or background noise, of course!)
The comments are then edited into a connected interview and because it’s fast-moving, it’s extremely powerful.
They can often be a ‘set up’, with polished actors using purposeful scripts, but they can often look just that.
We are always pleasantly surprised how well these pieces work.
So, what would you want people to remember about your company, brand, genre, product or service?
